Lunch and tasting of Svan kubdari
On our exciting journey on the way to Svaneti, we will stop at a unique culinary journey to taste the real kubdari – a delicious and nutritious dish imbued with the spirit of Georgian cuisine.
Kubdari is not just a flatbread with meat, it is a real work of art that embodies the traditions and culture of Georgia. A fresh flatbread, cooked with love, decorated with juicy meat and fragrant spices, will reveal to us the richness of flavors and aromas of this amazing country.
Although kubdari reminds us of khachapuri, its taste and texture are unique and inimitable. It’s not just food, it’s an experience that allows us to get into the spirit of the history and traditions that live in every piece of this dish.
The history of kubdari is closely connected with the life of shepherds who roamed the mountain trails, taming the wild expanses. There was always a place in their bags for this nutritious treat, which gave strength and energy in difficult moments.

The Tower of Love
The Tower of Love. In the heart of majestic Georgia, among the ancient mountains and the whisper of the wind, stands the silent witness of eternal love – the Tower of Love. Located on a hill by the Inguri mountain River, it is like a mute testimony of past passions and fidelity, reviving the legends and myths of this amazing country.
The story of the Tower of Love takes us back to the distant times when love and loyalty were stronger than death. Here, among the stone walls, the love of a couple blossomed and faded, whose story became part of the mythology of Georgia.
A guy who went to war left his beloved waiting, believing in his return. The girl, suffering from an unknown loss, continued to come to this place, hoping to see him again. And to comfort her heart, her father built a tower – a symbol of their eternal love and devotion.
In the shadow of the tower, among dense forests and mountain peaks, the girl lived her days, waiting for the return of her beloved until the very end of her life. Her story has become an integral part of Georgia’s cultural heritage, reminding everyone of the power and greatness of true love.
Ushguli village
Ushguli is not just a settlement, it is an amazing piece of land lost among majestic mountain peaks, like an island of wonders and mysteries at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. Considered the highest mountain settlement in Europe, Ushguli is admired for its isolation and inaccessibility.
The path to Ushguli is a real adventure full of winding roads and breathtaking landscapes. However, it is precisely this complexity of the path that makes every moment of our approach to this place even more exciting and valuable.
Located to the east of Mestia, Ushguli is like a crown among the mountain peaks, at the source of the mighty Inguri River. Its ancient stone houses and winding streets are inscribed into the mountainous landscape as if part of its wildlife.
A visit to Ushguli is not just a trip, it is an immersion in the history and culture of this unique place, where time seems to have stopped, and in every corner you can feel the breath of antiquity and the wisdom of the mountains.
Church of Queen Tamara (Lamaria)
La Maria Ushguli is a shrine, the embodiment of beauty and spirituality, towering on the land of Svaneti, like an inaccessible mountain peak. Its walls, soaked with centuries of prayer and inspiration, mysteriously frame the mysteries of faith passed down from generation to generation.Built in the IX-X centuries, Lamaria Ushguli Church majestically looks at the world from a high hill, like a guardian over ancient secrets and shrines. Its architectural outlines, decorated with triangular shapes and powerful walls, surprise and delight with their greatness.
A secret place from the Secret Tour
The glacier where the Chalaadi River is born. A visit to the glacier is optional.
After visiting the lake, we move to the Chalaadi glacier and to the source of the mountain river. It is here that the Chaladi River originates. Have you ever seen the source of the river in your life? Probably not. Now you have an amazing opportunity to see this miracle of nature with your own eyes!
Make a wish and believe that it will come true sooner or later. A little bit about the glacier — its distance is 6 km, it originates on the slopes of the Chatili and Ushba mountains and further along the Chalady River gorge. Be careful! It is impossible to get too close to the spring, since it is a glacier and it is gradually melting, stones and ice can collapse at any moment.
